To Whom It May Concern:
I am a registered dental hygienist and am interested in becoming a part of your dental team if you
are ever in need of a temporary or permanent dental hygienist. I recently graduated from Eastern
Washington University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. My dental
hygiene license is active and I am excited to begin my career in the dental field. This summer I
have gained experience working as a dental hygienist by temping at various offices in the
Spokane area. Currently, I am working as a part-time dental hygienist at Smiles by Dr. Ashley
Ulmer and Liberty Park Family Dentistry for Dr. John Vangemert. Through these opportunities, I
have practiced unassisted, assisted, and accelerated hygiene. I have continued to develop my
dental hygiene skills and have also grown more accustomed to the pace of patient care in private
practice.
During my three years in Eastern’s Dental Hygiene Program, I provided dental hygiene care for a
variety of patients with unique needs. I gained experience treating advanced periodontal disease,
managing care for medically compromised patients, administering local anesthetic, and placing
class I, II, III, IV, and V restorations. Each patient presents with different concerns and
challenges. My clinical and educational training has given me a complete and thorough
foundation for solving and meeting these needs.
My goal is to give patients the best care possible and to be an asset to the success of your dental
practice. I am a very diligent, friendly, approachable, and kind individual, who will establish a
positive relationship with patients and the rest of the dental team. One of my main goals is to
educate and motivate patients to help them improve their oral health. I desire for every patient to
find satisfaction and happiness with their smile.
I am confident that my dental hygiene background and skills are what you desire for this
position. Thank you for taking the time to consider my application. I look forward to meeting
with you to discuss my qualifications and your expectations.
Sincerely,
Abigail Fall
