PFC Ltd intends to use information technology to automate its offices in
order to meet its business objectives and long-term goals, which include
increasing operational efficiency, growing the business, and enhancing
profitability. The Management Systems (MS) Unit of PFC Ltd is
responsible for the implementation, management, and delivery of IT
Systems for PFC and PFCCL (Subsidiary). MS Unit is in the process of
establishing a Disaster Recovery site on the cloud as part of its
responsibilities.IT solutions are the cornerstone for all business-critical
information exchange, encapsulating PFC's aspirations as well as meeting
all statutory requirements.
OBJECTIVE OF THE PFC’S REQUIREMENT

II. PRESENTATION OF THE SOLUTION
Brief Scope of Work
PFCL intends to procure and implement ORACLE software licenses from authorized partner of Oracle India Pvt. Ltd.
(OEM). As part of implementation of Oracle products / License(s)PFCL intends that the bidder would supply the
ORACLE license along with installation implementation and support services as per scope defined here under would
be provided thru OEM certified resources.
The Scope of Work include followings licenses supply along with one year default Annual Technical Support of Oracle
software licenses in the name of “Power Finance Corporation Limited”

IV. Approach and IMPLEMENTATION
We Shall perform following implementation services for installation of licenses at PFC data center Or DR Site Mumbai
• Installation & Configuration of Databases & WebLogic servers
• Installation and implementation of Oracle Licenses
• Installation and configuration of Oracle Database licenses at DR Site (Cluster & Standalone
• Setup RAC for database instances at DR as per requirements.
• Optimization of CPU & Memory utilization of database server, Alert log monitoring & configuration of the alerts for errors
• Space Optimization for database table space, Index fragmentation monitoring and rebuilding
• Performance tuning of Database
• Partition creation & management of database objects, Archiving of database objects on need basis
• Regular patching & upgrade
• Support during Backup & restoring the applications & databases as per defined interval
• Schedule/review the various backup and alert jobs.
• DC-DR replication of databases
• Setup the Database replication between DC & DR instances for failover & fail safe.
• Perform trial migration and then final production migration for production databases at DC.
• We will support asynchronous/ synchronous replication of the primary database to secondary database (and vice versa) to provide data
redundancy, eliminate I/O freezes, and minimize latency spikes during system backups.
• We will support a manual failover of the DB instance from primary to a standby replica. Vendor should support the needs of database
workloads that are sensitive to storage performance and consistency in random access I/O throughput.
• We will support creating a DB back up and restoring the DB instance from the backup to a specific date and time.
• Detailed documentation along with screenshots of DC-DR replication, restoration and recovery process shall be provided by the vendor.
Implementation & Support Services
We Shall perform following implementation services for installation of licenses at PFC data center Or DR Site Mumbai
• Support Services –
• We will provide support services for Technical and Operational issues from OEM Certified Resource
• We shall provide updates, patches to address the functional requirements / enhancements, bugs, security threats etc.
• We will monitor of performance and health of a database or a DB instance.
• Training / Knowledge Session-
• We will provide 3 days training/Knowledge session to PFC resources at PFC premises (New Delhi) Covering the Oracle Database,
Implementation and performance Tuning of Oracle Database
• Migration Services –
• If there is a need to migrate existing Oracle products to the latest version during the implementation of Oracle products, we will
perform the migration activity of Oracle products

  • 10. Brief Scope of Work PFCL intends to procure and implement ORACLE software licenses from authorized partner of Oracle India Pvt. Ltd. (OEM). As part of implementation of Oracle products / License(s)PFCL intends that the bidder would supply the ORACLE license along with installation implementation and support services as per scope defined here under would be provided thru OEM certified resources. We Shall perform following implementation services for installation of licenses at PFC data center Or DR Site Mumbai • Installation & Configuration of Databases & WebLogic servers • Installation and implementation of Oracle Licenses • Installation and configuration of Oracle Database licenses at DR Site (Cluster & Standalone • Setup RAC for database instances at DR as per requirements. • Optimization of CPU & Memory utilization of database server, Alert log monitoring & configuration of the alerts for errors • Space Optimization for database table space, Index fragmentation monitoring and rebuilding • Performance tuning of Database • Partition creation & management of database objects, Archiving of database objects on need basis • Regular patching & upgrade • Support during Backup & restoring the applications & databases as per defined interval • Schedule/review the various backup and alert jobs. • DC-DR replication of databases • Setup the Database replication between DC & DR instances for failover & fail safe. • Perform trial migration and then final production migration for production databases at DC. • We will support asynchronous/ synchronous replication of the primary database to secondary database (and vice versa) to provide data redundancy, eliminate I/O freezes, and minimize latency spikes during system backups. • We will support a manual failover of the DB instance from primary to a standby replica. Vendor should support the needs of database workloads that are sensitive to storage performance and consistency in random access I/O throughput. • We will support creating a DB back up and restoring the DB instance from the backup to a specific date and time. • Detailed documentation along with screenshots of DC-DR replication, restoration and recovery process shall be provided by the vendor. We Shall perform following implementation services for installation of licenses at PFC data center Or DR Site Mumbai • Support Services – • We will provide support services for Technical and Operational issues from OEM Certified Resource • We shall provide updates, patches to address the functional requirements / enhancements, bugs, security threats etc. • We will monitor of performance and health of a database or a DB instance. • Training / Knowledge Session- • We will provide 3 days training/Knowledge session to PFC resources at PFC premises (New Delhi) Covering the Oracle Database, Implementation and performance Tuning of Oracle Database • Migration Services – • If there is a need to migrate existing Oracle products to the latest version during the implementation of Oracle products, we will perform the migration activity of Oracle products Implementation & Support Services
