needs two basic propose:
1. The modification of existing words.
2. The creation of new words.

• the approaches divide the field into tow parts:

1. Lexical or Derivational morphology studies the
way in which new items of vocabulary can be
built.
2. Inflectional morphology which studies the ways
words vary in their forms in order to express a
grammatical contrast.
