Good morning ma’am. Where are you headed?
Passenger:
Good morning! The Hyatt, on Cathedral Place. I’m sure you know where that is?
Taxi Driver:
I certainly do. It is a popular hotel.
I see you have a suitcase, are you just visiting?
Passenger:
Yes, I am here on business, but I will hopefully have some spare time to see some of the sights.
I should have some time on the weekend to get out and about.
Taxi Driver:
Well, welcome to our city. It’s a really nice time of year to visit. It’s not too hot or too cold. There’s lots
to see and do.
I really recommend checking out York Street. It’s a popular shopping area.
Passenger:
Oh, that sounds interesting. I do need to do some shopping for my husband and family.
Thanks for the tip.
Taxi Driver:
Here, please take my card and if you need a ride anywhere give me a call. If I am available, I
would love to drive you around.
Passenger:
Thanks, that is very kind of you. I may just take you up on that.
Taxi Driver:
How long are you staying, may I ask?
Passenger:
I’ll be here about ten days, so I should have plenty of time to see the most popular attractions.
Taxi Driver:
Okay, here we are. It’s thirty-seven dollars and forty cents. Will you be paying by cash or credit
