3. Every picture has a story. Every photographer is a visual storyteller. I personally use
photography as a means to document the world around me, and also to interact with
people I would otherwise not be able to engage with. Photography is a universal
language, which every person understands but can interpret or perceive in absolutely
different ways. Imagination sparks creation. Creation leaves a legacy that inspires the
same creative cycle to repeat itself. For me photography is an opportunity to show my
point of view and represent my outlook on life, a chance to capture a unique moment,
share it and preserve it for future generations.
4. My interest in photography dates back to my High School years and owning film
cameras. I was actually more interested in Journalism than photography. I received
an Athletic Scholarship to play basketball at Cowley County Community College,
then the University of Nevada-(Reno) it was during this time period that my passion
for photography outgrew my journalistic dreams. I have completed courses in
Photography, Historical Background; Digital Cameras, Lenses and Accessories;
Camera Controls; Films; Composition; Filters;
5. Understanding Exposure; Aperture and Shutter Speed; Depth of Field; Flash and
Lighting; Qualities of Light; Background Materials; Depth of Field; Flash and
Action Photography; Storing and Organizing Pictures. I am presently enrolled at
Kalamazoo Valley Community College Center for New Media where I am studying
Business Practices/Creative Careers, History of Graphic and Web Design, and History
of Illustration and Animation.
6. My choice of subject comes from my athletic background and my love of attending
live events and is fueled by the desire to partake in the stories that unfold around
me. Sports and Event Photography allows me to stop the action at any time I desire.
My photography evokes the passage of time. My goal is to create images that draw
viewers into the now. A focus on details that keeps us in the present and the ability
use creative experimentation Despite the advanced techniques required to bring each
image to life. with regards to my work experience I have
