5. The History and Origin of Reiki
The origin of Reiki can be traced back to
ancient Tibet, thousands of years ago. This
technique was rediscovered in the late
1800's - early 1900's by Dr. Mikao Usui of
Japan.
Dr. Mikao Usui, ( a Christian Minister),
was giving a sermon. After the service two
seminary students asked him to explain how
Jesus did the miracles of healing, and
furthermore, whether or not he could
perform those same miracles. Dr. Usui was
not able to give the students an answer of
yes. He felt that he understood the Bible
intellectually, but he did not understand
how Jesus healed.

10. Principles of reiki
Principle 1
Just for today I will not worry.
Worry causes stress and anxiety which leads to an
imbalance of the mind, body and spirit.
Alleviate your stress by trying to view each
obstacle in your life as an opportunity and
approach all situations with a positive attitude.
11. Principles of reiki
Principle 2
Just for today I will not be angry.
To practice this principle, you need to understand what triggers your anger and
how you can regain control of your emotions.
When you become angry, the person or situation then has complete control over
you.
12. • Principle 3
• Just for today I will do my work honestly.
• Approach your work with the intention of
performing your job to the best of your
abilities, and with the goal of sharing all of
your beneficial talents with those you interact
with.
13. • Principle 4
• Just for today I will give thanks for my many
blessings.
• Pause for a moment on a regular basis and
acknowledge and appreciate the many blessings
in your life.
• If you take the time to keep a list of your many
blessings, you will undoubtedly be amazed at
how many wonderful things there are to give
thanks for.
14. • Principle 5
• Just for today I will be kind to my
neighbor and every living thing.
• What we give, we receive, according to
Karmic law.
15. Are there risks or side effects?
Reiki is non-invasive and thought to
be safeTrusted Source. It doesn’t have any known
harmful side effects.
Reiki is not intended to replace any doctor-
approved treatment plan.
17. Levels of Reiki
There are 3 levels of reiki
Level 1- self reiki, plants and animals
Level 2- distant reiki
Level 3-master and attunments
Attuenment is necessary at each level
18. Distant reiki healing
• Second-degree Reiki attunement provides powerful new tools, which you may choose
to use at a professional level. With this level of training, you are now able to offer
treatment to all people, not just family, and friends.
• send Reiki energy across time and space. You can send Reiki to events in the future
and in the past, or to people or animals anywhere in the world. Not only people or
animals can benefit from it, but also different situations across town or across the
world, the Earth, sea, skies, lands, different types of natural disasters, or even those
who are deceased.
• This healing at distance uses energy frequencies that can’t be seen with the naked eye
but still function faultlessly, much like our mobile phones or wifi signal systems. The
energy isn’t tuned into a phone or laptop, but into the person who’s receiving it. Unlike
distant attunements, most Reiki practitioners are comfortable with the idea of healing
over a distance. As all scientists say, everything around us is energy.
19. Conclusion Reiki therapy uses positive life energy which is
channeled through the body, so no harm can
be done to either party.

easier to learn and practice, with many types
