3. Introduction
The machine can solve the problem of time consumption.
Waste of resources in face of labour cost is reduced.
The machine can be used in the industry where it is manufactured, at the packaging
sector.
And it is used as hardware in large quantity like in fabrication of machine.
It provide alternative for industries aiming toward reducing human effort.
It generates sustainable and practical automation solutions for the future industrial
development.
4. Working Principle
The Slider-Crank mechanism is used to transform rotational motion into
translational motion by means of a rotating driving beam, a connection
rod and sliding body.
5. Power Transmission
The belts are used to transmit power from one shaft to another by means of pulleys
which rotates at same or at different speeds.
The amount of power transmitted depends on the following factors:
a) The velocity of the belt.
b) The tension under which the belt is placed on pulleys.
c) The arc of contact between belt and smaller pulley.
d) The conditions under which the belt is used.
V-belts provide best combination of traction, speed of movement, load of bearings,
long service life.
V-belt may be homogenously rubber or polymer throughout or these may be fibres
embedded in the rubber or polymer for strength and reinforcement.

7. Driving Force – AC Motors
An AC motor is an electric motor driven by an alternating current.
The reciprocating motion of the hacksaw blade, because of which the
cutting process takes place is produced with the help of an AC motor
which operates by a simple crank mechanism to convert the rotary
motion of crank into reciprocating motion hacksaw blade.
The torque of AC motor must be increased so as to bring about necessary
power for cutting work pieces efficiently.
8. Collar Clamp Ball Bearing
Ball bearing used to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads.
It achieves this by using at least two races contain the balls and transmits load
through the balls.
In most applications, one race is stationary and the other is attached to the
rotating assembly.(e.g. A hub or shaft).
It has an advantage over sliding contact bearing as it offers low friction.
9. Flywheel and pulley
A flywheel used in machines serves as a reservoir which stores energy during the period when the supply
of energy is more than the requirement and releases it during the period when the energy is more than
supply.
Flywheels have a significant moment of inertia and thus resists changes in rotational speed.
The amount of energy stored in a flywheel is proportional to square of its rotational speed.
Energy is transferred to a flywheel by applying torque to it.
A pulley is a wheel on an axle or shaft that is designed to support movement and change of direction of a
cable or a belt along its circumference.
These are typically made of steel and rotate on conventional bearings. Maximum speed is up to 60,000
RPM.
The drive element of a pulley system can be a rope, cable, belt or a chain that runs over the pulley inside
the grooves to lift loads, apply forces and to transmit power.
10. Driven – Hacksaw Blade
A hacksaw is a hand held tool used to cut through materials like plastic tubing and
meta pipes.
Its cutting mechanism is provided by removable blades which feature sharp teeth
along their outer edge.
Hacksaw blades are generally made up of carbon steel (or) high speed steel.
11. Bench Vice
It is a holding apparatus used to secure an object to allow work to be performed
on it.
It has two parallel jaws, one fixed and the other movable, threaded in and out by a
screw and lever.
12. Advantages
EASY TO USE
AUTOMATIC SO REDUCES MAN POWER
TIME,DEPTH OF CUT CAN BE MAINTAINED
ECONOMICAL
RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCE
LESS COST TO MAKE
13. Disadvantages
Cannot Be Used In Mass Production
Cannot Be Used For Larger Diameters
Cannot Be Used In Low Heat Conditions
Strong Materials Will Take More Time
