Coordinates and terrain
Salang Pass
1. Terrain of Salang is hard rock mostly or semi hard rock
requiring blasting at frequent places.
2. The soil is cold throughout the year and it snows all
twelve months.Although snow is marginal in between
May and July.
NOTE
Because variation in GPS readings only centre point of a grid
station has been noted.Since GPS are not wholly accurate
effort has been made to confirmthe location by map to
ground and ground to map techniques.

3. FIRST OPTION GRID STATION
We approached this place with great difficulty because of
heavy snow and reports that some area is still not
demined.It is south of the last gallery south of Salang.
