1. Zhoe and I made this painting together. The yellow represents the desert and the colour of the sand.
The red part represents the red land and the black represents the black land. The black land is where
the Nile floods and leaves the soil fertile and able to grow vegetables easily. The red land is drier and
not as fertile. In the middle the Nile River flows between the black lands on either side of it. The Nile
is very important to Egyptians because it is not only their source of growth but also a source of
transportation. The picture in the bottom left corner is of the sphinx. The sphinx is a big cat like
statue the Egyptians built. The middle left picture is the pyramids. The pharaohs were buried in
these big pyramids with gold and riches. The top right is a picture of death mask the put on
mummies when they were buried.This is Tutankhamen’s (the youngest pharaoh) mask.
