3. Recap. God gave us His word
(Ps 33:4)
What does it mean
when a person says: “I
give you my word”?
“To make a
SERIOUS promise,
assurance, or vow
(to someone).”
Free Online Dictionary
This is not cosmetic! (That’s
plain and simple)
4. Recap.
Cont.
More than that, when we did not believe
Him, He gave us His Son. (John 3:16)
(He made HisWORD to be FLASH and live
among us). (John 1:1, 10, 12, 14)
When we do not believe this again, He gave
us HIS SPIRIT. John 14:26
That is HIS last attempt, hence He warns: DO
NOT GRIEVETHE SPIRIT… That becomes an
unpardonable sin Eph. 4:30; Mark 3:28-29
5. Why Share the Scriptures?
“Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, And the LORD listened and
heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the
LORD And who meditate on His name.” Malachi 3:16 NKJV
Daniel 12:1
At that time Michael, the great prince who stands watch over your people, will rise up.
There will be a time of distress such as never has occurred from the beginning of
nations until then. But at that time your people--everyone whose name is found written in
the book--will be delivered.
New International Version Rev. 20:15
Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of
fire.

7. On The Judgement Day
◦ Good and Bad Fruit
…36But I tell you that men will give an account on the day of
judgment for every careless word they have
spoken. 37For by your words you will be
acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” 38Then
some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, “Teacher, we
want to see a sign from You.”…
9. How Does
This Work?
◦ 6 Appoint a wicked man against him; let an accuser
stand at his right hand. Psalm 109:6
◦ 10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw
none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman,
where are those thine accusers? hath no man
condemned thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord.
And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn
thee: go, and sin no more. John 8:10 KJV
◦ 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now
the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our
God and the authority of his Christ have come, for
the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down,
who accuses them day and night before our God.
Revelation 12:10
11. The Participants
◦ 5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath
and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Romans 2:5
◦ 4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into
chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 2 Peter 2:4
◦ judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false
swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that
turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not Malachi 3:5
◦ 6And the angels who did not stay within their own domain but abandoned their proper dwelling—these He has kept
in eternal chains under darkness, bound for judgment on that great day. 7In like manner, Sodom and Gomorrah and
the cities around them, who indulged in sexual immorality and pursued strange flesh, are on display as an example
of those who sustain the punishment of eternal fire. Jude 1:6-7
12. The Judgement
◦ 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was
given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were
beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and
which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither
had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands;
and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Revelation 20:4
◦ There MUST be an accused and an ACCUSER!
◦ There MUST be a STANDARD or NORM or LAW that the
ACCUSED is said to have violated. Otherwise, there is no
JUDGMENT.
◦ There MUST be witnesses, otherwise the judgment can be said
to be unfair and UNJUST.

13. The African Perspective of Judgment
◦ The Akan people of Ghana (according to Sundermeier) is the other exception. They
believe in reward and punishment after life. The rest of Africa believes in a God that
judges and punishes evildoers in the here and now during their earthly life, but not after
death. John Mbiti (1975a:259-262; 1985:161) also refers to some exceptions to the rule.
In this regard he mentions the Yoruba who believe in a judgment after death, based on
earthly morality and the Lodagaa who fear punishment of evil by the ancestors after
death. “ The final judgment in African perspectives” by I W C van Wyk (The
Africa Institute for Missiology) p705
14. The Accused
◦ The gray-headed man who had left a comfortable home to travel at
his own expense from city to city, from town to town, toiling
unceasingly to bear to the world the solemn warning of the
judgment near, was sneeringly denounced as a fanatic, a liar, a
speculating knave. The Great Controversy, p.349 (Luther was
accused as a liar when talking of this judgment.)
◦ “The law of God is the standard by which the characters and the
lives of men will be tested in the judgment. Says the wise man:
“Fear God and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty
of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment.” Eccl.
12:13,14 The apostle James admonishes his brethren, “So speak
ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.””
James 2:12 Ibid p500

15. Who Will
Escape
Judgment?
12 All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the
law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.
13 For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before
God, but it is the doers of the law who will be declared
righteous.
14 Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature
what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though
they do not have the law,
15 since they show that the work of the law is written on their
hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their
thoughts either accusing or defending them.
16 This will come to pass on that day when God will judge men’s
secrets through Christ Jesus, as proclaimed by my gospel.
Roman 2:12-16.
17 And the dragon was enraged at the woman, and went to make
war with the rest of her children, who keep the
commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
Revelation 12:17
16. Who Will
Escape
Judgment?
◦ “I beheld, till thrones were placed, and One that was ancient of days did
sit: His raiment was white as snow, and the hair of His head like pure
wool; His throne was fiery flames, and the wheels thereof burning fire.
A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him: thousand
thousands ministered unto Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand
stood before Him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.”
Dan. 7:9,10 RSV
◦ “Judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us,
what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel?” 1 Peter 4:17
◦ “Rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:20
◦ “In the book of God's remembrance every deed of righteousness is
immortalized. There every temptation resisted, every evil overcome,
every word of tender pity expressed, is faithfully chronicled. And every
act of sacrifice, every suffering and sorrow endured for Christ's sake, is
recorded. Says the psalmist, “Thou tellest my wanderings: put Thou my
tears into Thy bottle: are they not in Thy book?” Psalm 56:8 KJV The
Great Controversy p499.
17. Think About
It.
◦“Could the veil which separates the
visible from the invisible world be
swept back, and the children of men
behold an angel recording every word
and deed, which they must meet again
in the judgment, how many words that
are daily uttered would remain
unspoken; how many deeds would
remain undone.” GC p506
