2. - A Pareto Diagram is a chart which highlights major factors
contributing to happening of an event.
- It contains both bars and a line graph, where individual values
are represented in descending order by bars, and the
cumulative total is represented by the line
3. The purpose of the Pareto chart is to highlight the most
important among a (typically large) set of factors.
4. We observed 63 students for 30 days and tried to figure out
major factors of bunking classes.
5. Factors to bunk the class:
Night out with friends
Staying awake up late
Having quiz or test in subsequent lecture
Movie
Friends forcing not to attend the class
Disliking the professor
Assignment not done
Hangout with girlfriend/boyfriend
Impulsive mood swing
Mass bunk

8. Result:
Clearly 79.34% (almost 80%) bunks
have been recorded because of 20% of
the reasons (2 out of 10)
1. Night out with friends
2. Staying awake up late
9. Learning :
With a general broad view a problem
might seem very complex with lot of
variables, but if careful concentration is
given the problem actually reduces to a
very simpler one with very less (about
20% ) factors.
It reminds about the famous quote:
“Life is 20 % what happens to you and
80% how you respond”

these some of these factors. The video
