8. Constitutional Checks & Balances
A constitutionally limited federal government would be

Separation of Powers:
Congress has the duty to stop presidential
usurpations and judicial activism.
Congress can defund, repeal, regulate and
remove wrongdoers. Congress answers to
the people. The entire House of
Representatives and one third of the
Senate can be replaced every two years.
Division of Powers:
State and local public servants have the
duty to stop federal abuses of power at
their borders. Elected officials must obey
the Constitution and reject
unconstitutional usurpations. State and
local officials are accountable to the people
through regular elections.

servants answer to us. We have the duty to be informed about the performance of their
