Scărișoara Cave is one of the largest ice caves in Romania located in the Apuseni Mountains at an altitude of 1165 meters above sea level. The cave is 105 meters deep, 720 meters long, and contains a large entrance shaft and Big Hall that are accessible via metal stairs. While tourists can visit the entrance, Big Hall, and Church chamber, the other areas like Great Reservation and Coman Gallery require agreement from the Speological Institute of Cluj-Napoca due to being reserved for scientific study.
