1. Unit 4 pre production
Pre-production is vital for every single film. If there was no pre-production, everything
would be a mess, paperwork would be undone and wouldn’t get to the filming section. It’s
important to know your safe ground, especially when it comes to the budgets, money buy’s
work and time. It breaks down the hardest parts when the script and crew is done. You also
need to make sure that the filmhas enough time to be made, the right people to do the job,
the money budget all the things you need for the film, making sure there is a purpose for
the movie and that its successful when everything is done. Pre-production process can be
different for producers, some might change the turns of what needs to be done, but it all
comes down to one thing, there would be no movie without no pre-production.
Other Regulators
There are other organisations that regulate what’s being shown on the TV
Ofcom regulates the TV, radio and video ‘on demand’, fixed line telecoms, mobiles and
postal services. This organisation accepts complaints for anything mentioned above.
They have detailed code of practice
They also have rules about advertising, product placement and specific issues such as
gambling or programming aimed at children, but they aren’t relevant for the work I am
doing.
The Advertising Standards Authority regulates advertising including advertisements on TV
and shows that carry commercial sponsership
