2. 180º Rule
• The 180° rule is a basic
guideline in film making
that states that two
characters (or other
elements) in the same
scene should always
have the same left/right
relationship to each
other. If the camera
passes over the
imaginary axis
connecting the two
subjects, it is called
crossing the line.

Preliminary Exercise I will
have to include the 180
degree rule.
• When I film my Preliminary
Exercise I will be including a
wide range of camera
shots and movements
which show the relationship
between two characters
this could be when two
people are in a job
interview, one person
interviewing and the other
answer the questions also.
