DURBAN BEACH SOCCER TOURNAMENT MAP OUTLINING THE PROJECTDate Venue/Place Time22 September 2012 Durban New Beach 09H00 to 17H30AIM To help develop beach soccer through involving the youth right throughout the coast of KZN and hopefully spread throughout our South African coast line.CRETIRIA USED TO INVITE TEAMS High School around Durban NGO’s responsible in handling and dealing with kidsTHE TOURNAMENT RULES 1. They will be a no joining fee. 2. 12 teams will be participating 3. Each team will have a maximum of 12 players 4. Age average under (18) 5. Straight knock-out from the beginning 6. FIFA rules will be applied 7. Time will be 12 min x3 and 3min extra-time. 8. 1 Yellow cards =3 min-match suspension 9. 1 red card= 1quater matchsuspension 10. Teams that will not honor the tournament rule will be automatically knocked out from the tournament 11. The referees decision matches is final 12. Tournament organizer decisions are final 13. Playing a role in developing beach soccer in Africa as the game is relevantly new in thecontinent (since the first edition of the Africa qualifiers for the world cup in 2006).The beach soccer “Bug” has recently bitten Africa, so as current & experience national beachsoccer players (Prince Gumede&FaniShange) we making use of the opportunity by laying ahelping hand in developing the game.Raising awareness to the public about beach soccer & those who are interested in being involvedin it.Basically we sharing our knowledge that we’ve gain from international experience throughplaying at the highest level.Youngsters from schools around Durban, and also we have street kids playing for our club whichis a way to keep them off the streets & help them reduce substance abuse.Help them to focus & encourage them to have that sense of hope of a better life.
