• Benefits of Classic Loader:
– Transfer data from source file (Excel / text) to destination application.
– Avoid time consuming data entry
– Avoid typing errors.
– Avoid second round of checking after the data entry, provided figures in the source excel file is correct
– Ensure timely submission of statements to RBI.
– Manual compilation of source data can be avoided ( Needs customisation)

How data is transferred….?
• Keep the OSMOS application open.
• Open Classic Loader
• Select the source data file.
• Click on Post to OSMOS button.
• Data from source file will be posted/ transferred to OSMOS application
• Save & Validate OSMOS
ORFS
• Submission of Returns through website of RBI.
• Returns submitted through ORFS:
– Form A & Annexures
– Form VIII & Annexures
– CPR
– MAP
– SIR
– IRS
– IRS D – New IRS Return
– DSB VIII- Structural Liquidity
– BAL & its Annexure
– FTD & GPB
– Special Fortnightly CDs
– RIS ( Return of Subsidiaries)

Problems of ORFS data entry:
• Session Timeout every 2-3 minutes. Hence unsaved data is to be re-entered.
Alternative to Data entry:
• Upload data in XML format given by RBI, which is faster and take less than a minute.
Role of Classic Loader
• Classic Loader will generate XML files from source file.
• XML file can be uploaded at ORFS web site.
• No Data entry
• Return submission is not delayed due to session timeouts
XBRL
• XBRL means : eXtensible Business Reporting Language
• New channel introduced by RBI
• Returns through XBRL:
– Basel II
– Form A & Annexures
– Form VIII & Annexures
– Form X
– GPB
