Today we are going to write and
informal letter to a friend. Your friend
has been caught smoking and you are
going to write him/her a letter advising
them to stop. The slides will show you
how to do the format.

go to the next line and begin your
letter. You’re writing to a friend or
relative so you can be chatty and
friendly in your opening paragraph.

friend a bit about your life and ask
them how theirs is going as well.

However, don’t forget the main
purpose of the letter, which is to
advise your friend to stop smoking.
This is what you need to do in the
second paragraph.

by saying you heard about the smoking
incident through a mutual friend. (A
mutual friend is someone who you both
know)
