Corrections
Some journalists believe that it harms their newspaper’s credibility to publish a correction
of an error. In fact, most readers understand that journalists are human and do occasionally
err. Readers will appreciate prompt publication of corrections, which eventually enhances
the newspaper’s credibility.
It is convenient to print all corrections and amplifications of the day regularly on the same
page and place in a newspaper, unless the country’s law determines placing them
differently, such as in the same place on which the incorrect information appeared. Exhibit 48.2
