BCG Website Reports 3103 Active Attorney Jobs in U.S. Amidst Reports of
Rise in Unemployment Rate
BCG Attorney Search website reports 3103 active attorney jobs amidst news of 500 jobs having
dropped this month.
Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) June 15, 2013 -- While the U.S. legal services sector has reported that 500 jobs have
dropped this month, BCG Attorney Search says the situation is still not overly depressing for attorneys. The
BCG website reports 3103 active attorney jobs in the U.S. that still need to be filled up.
Harrison Barnes, Chief Executive Officer of BCG Attorney Search says, “Attorneys will continue being in
demand with the social and business environment changing over the years. Viewing the current trend whereby
law firms are hiring attorneys it is likely that ingenious heads will come together to give the legal profession a
new meaning altogether.” For instance recent news has it that Winston & Strawn has recruited Defense
Attorney Gerald Shargel. Likewise, Attorney at Law, Randi R. Nelson joined the family law practice of
Nusbaum & Parrino P.C. as an Associate Attorney and NC Eminent Domain Law Firm added Attorney Jason
Campbell to their firm. All these appointments were made this month.
On a pessimistic note, The National Law Journal's annual survey of the nation's biggest law firms by number of
lawyers, shows that law firms grew only 1.1 percent during 2012, a cutback from 1.7 percent growth in 2011.
But the Employment outlook: 2010–2020 report of BLS (http://www.bls.gov/opub/mlr/2012/01/art5full.pdf )
gives BCG Attorney Search enough reason to believe that legal jobs will increase with time and the current
situation is set to change. The report gives a fair picture of the legal occupational employment projections that
states that 131,000 new legal jobs will be added in the jobs market between 2010 and 2020. Attorney jobs will
account for more than 50 per cent of the jobs in this group, with 728,200 already employed in 2010. As attorney
jobs are growing at about the same rate as the group on the whole the report additionally foresees 73,600 new
employment opportunities for lawyers in the coming years. Legal recruitment posted on the BCG website gives
some thrust to this trend.
