• While small businesses are game for such an app and to
pay for advertising.
• Although these small businesses have an online presence
(local online directories, google maps) the data is not
very well organised and opportunities for advertising
events and deals are limited. They would greatly benefit
from an app like this.
Malls and big business groups have an established user base and wouldn't spend on online
advertising.Just a facebook page and print media advertising works.
7. Take aways from Customer interviews

location based website/app.

and import of contacts.
•They would want an incentive to add and rate content about
places, events and deals.
•They would like to use such a service if their friends are using it.
•They would like useful information with lesser spam.
•We also got a number of suggestions asking us to Gamify the
concept.
•Some of them were of the opinion that very similar services exist
already.

10. Take Aways from the survey
· About 40% of the people surveyed would be very interested to try out
such a service.
With Almost an equal number of responses said “may be”.
· Majority of the people presently use offline sources to know about their
neighborhood. Hence, there is a lot of potential to provide a better
option to explore one’s surroundings.
· Majority of the people would be very interested to know about the traffic
updates of their cities.
· For many questions, a good number of people have given neutral
responses like may be.
11. Key Findings
• Some businesses like coffee shops, bakeries, pubs, restaurants
etc., are interested in listing their deals and events on our
website. Hence, deals and events listed by such businesses
could be charged. This would be an additional source of
revenue, which would be considered in the business model.
• Based on suggestions by users and mentors we are planning
to gamify our services.
• Since a lot of responses to the survey were neutral (maybe);
further changes to the business model will be incorporated
based on feedback of the fully functional website.
12. • Channelize more efforts to make the traffic updates page
more flushed out as it is a crowd favourite.
• Based on the results of the survey, the neighborhood
functionality was not well assimilated by the potential
customers; this functionality would be introduced in the
earlier versions and altered subsequently based on the user
feedback
13. Conclusion
Based on the face to face interviews and the user feedback
from the surveys, this idea is worth pursuing especially in
nascent markets like India
