Whilebeing the boss does afford you some luxuries it does not give you theoption to settle. A boss should not only be looking for ways to motivatethe staff, but should use these same ideas on themselves. Teambuilding activities that the boss will love can have a huge range.Depending on what kind of boss it is, and what kind of activities areneeded within the company. Creating a team building event that ishighly based on the needs of the boss, can be a fun way for staff tobond. The boss, no matter who they are or where they are from, could useteam building as much as any other person in the room, if not more. The boss is meant to encourage others and stay on task, which is whythe following team building activities were created with a boss in mind.Let’s String Along: This is a team-building exercise that demonstratesthe interdependency of the partnership. The leader or facilitator startsby stressing that everyone depends on others. To illustrate this point, ask partners to indicate which members of the team they depend on.The first person (the leader can start, if a facilitator is not used) is givena ball of string. S/he picks out someone whom s/he relies on, and whileholding onto the end of the string, throws the ball to that person andstates the nature of the dependency. The person who just received theball holds onto the strand of string and tosses the ball to anotherperson upon whom the second person relies. As working in the office may not allow the time to do so. Gamesreferring to names and personal interests are always great to do withthe boss.Outdoor games: See the boss in a fun and objective way. Being in theoutdoors where everyone is equal can help you and the boss relate. Most bosses do not have enough free time to enjoy the outdoors, sothis is something a boss will love it do as well. These games can include:capture the flag, GPS tag and adventure games. The boss is as much part of the team as anyone else; this makes itimportant for the boss to be included in all events and games. It alsolets the staff know, the boss and management team are willing tospend time with them, and create bonds. All Rights Reserved © 2011 Team Building Activities HQ http://teambuildingactivitieshq.com
