Siemens Mobile CEO Lothar Pauly demonstrated the first TD-SCDMA Mobile Phone from Siemens at several APAC marketing events in Summer 2001.
This phone was called TD-SCDMA Test Terminal (TTT). It was an operational prototype (form, fit and function).
’Due to management decision from Munich’ this development was stopped at Beijing Siemens China headquarters in 4Q2001. Later in 2002 and 2003, local management in Beijing sold Intellectual Property Rights and development documents of this product to handset companies in Korea and/or Taiwan.
This phone could be ’The Mother of all TD-SCDMA Handsets’.

TD-SCDMA Test Terminal (TTT) The TTT is not intended as a commercial product, but the prototype includes all the technical solutions - „Siemens look and feel“ - in a handset form factor, a significant milestone in the development of a commercial product. TD-SCDMA Handset - July 2001
