Always Tell The Truth!
by S.W. Seeds | on January 29, 2013

Always tell the truth and you never have to remember what you said! This statement is
basic and yet so profound!

I attended a business conference yesterday, and the speaker spoke about the
importance of telling the truth. In this particular case, he was speaking with regards to
business, more specifically one’s own business, and in particular not gilding the lilly
when it comes to how much revenue has been generated.

In the world of business, it’s easy for one to be swayed into embellishing the success
of one’s business. This is a bad trap to let yourself fall into and generally it wil come
back to haunt you!

On the other hand, if you tell the truth to begin with, there is nothing to get caught
redhanded with! The truth is always the best policy.

Many a business will try to tell you their business is a top producer, when in actuality it
is a mediocre producing business at best! The mindset is that by building a larger than
life appearance, the prospects will be so impressed that they wouldn’t dare think of
going elsewhere!

However, it takes very little research to find out if what is being said is indeed fact or
fiction. Once the prospect finds out the truth, then the odds are far greater that they
will look elsewhere to do business.

This is where the well known phrase “under promise and over deliver” is far more
appropriate than the opposite. Also, a little humility can go a long way towards building
integrity and trust.

S.W. Seeds Marketing is built on the solid foundation of not only is the truth the best
policy, it is the only policy! And, this policy is taken very seriously.

There are many businesses in our industry, both large and small. Unfortunately, there
also are a lot of unethical businesses who will act as though they are your best friend
until they either 1. obtain your business or 2. come to the conclusion that your
business is no longer worth the effort and move on to the next prospect. In either
case, the end result is the same.

At S.W. Seeds Marketing, our customers are cherished. We are one big family here,
and when new members join our family, everything is done to make sure they feel
welcome.

If you are looking for a company to join forces with, I encourage you to check us out.
I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

It all goes back to the theory that if you tell the truth you never have to remember what
you said. Not that it is ever a problem remembering what we say, but also by always
telling the truth, what is said can never be left to misinterpretation.

The truth is always the truth, no matter what is said about it. To simplify, always tell the
truth. Then there will be no surprises whatsoever.
