1.0      LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED :


Students should have a good knowledge on basic fundamentals on Materials
and some knowledge on Mechanics of Solids.


2.0      OBJECTIVES OF COURSE :


The objectives of the course is


      1. Student while he/she designing any project that they have to understand
         that, feasibility of the project in Designing & Manufacturing point of view.
      2. It gives a practical exposure to design any system

4.0       PEDAGOGY :


In addition to the Didactic Teaching/ Learning methodology a step ahead
students are asked to complete the Assignments and attending in the Class
tests and Quiz Examinations.




5.0       EVALUATION OF GRADING :


Students will be evaluated based on the following 3 stages.


          5.1     Internal Assessment
          5.2 Mid term Examination
5.3 End term Examination


5.1.    Internal Assessment : Weightage – 30%


Internal Assessment shall be done based on the following:


5.1.1   DISCIPLINE:      Discipline of a student is very important in the
                          Class/Campus. This is considered t be a most
important
                          one.


5.1.2. ASSIGNMENT: After completion of each unit or at the Middle of the
        Unit
                        i.e, until the covered syllabus, they have to submit the
                       Assignment with in the given time. Those who not
                    submit
                       the assignment by the due date shall be penalized
                       through deduction of marks


5.1.3     QUIZ:        In addition to the Class tests Three Quiz examinations to
                       be held during Semester. Average of Best Two will be
                       considered for evaluating students who absent for Quiz
                       will lose their marks.


5.2.    Mid Term Examination – weightage – 20%


Mid Term examination shall be Two Hours duration and shall be a combination
of Short and Long theory Questions.


5.3.    End Term examinations – Weightage – 50%
End Term examination shall be Three           Hours duration and shall be a
combination of Short and Long theory Questions.




6.0    GRADING :


The overall marks obtained at the end of the semester comprising all the above
three mentioned shall be converted to a grade by the faculty.


7.0.   ATTENDANCE :


Students are required to have a minimum attendance of 75% in the subject.
Students with less than the stipulated percentage shall not be allowed to appear
in the End Semester examination

Faculty : Shyam Pandey Approved by : Dean Chancellor 1.0 LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED : Students should have a good knowledge on basic fundamentals on Materials and some knowledge on Mechanics of Solids. 2.0 OBJECTIVES OF COURSE : The objectives of the course is 1. Student while he/she designing any project that they have to understand that, feasibility of the project in Designing & Manufacturing point of view. 2. Unit - 1 Constitution of Alloys 2 Unit – 2 Equilibrium Diagrams or Phase Diagrams 3 Unit – 3 Heat Treatment 4 Unit – 4 Characteristics of Materials 5 Unit – 5 Mechanical Behavior of Materials & Introduction to 6 Unit -6 Electrical and Electronics Properties of Dielectric, Semi Conducting and 4.0 PEDAGOGY : In addition to the Didactic Teaching/ Learning methodology a step ahead students are asked to complete the Assignments and attending in the Class tests and Quiz Examinations. 5.0 EVALUATION OF GRADING : Students will be evaluated based on the following 3 stages. 5.1 Internal Assessment 5.2 Mid term Examination
  • 4. 5.3 End term Examination 5.1. Internal Assessment : Weightage – 30% Internal Assessment shall be done based on the following: 5.1.1 DISCIPLINE: Discipline of a student is very important in the Class/Campus. This is considered t be a most important one. 5.1.2. ASSIGNMENT: After completion of each unit or at the Middle of the Unit i.e, until the covered syllabus, they have to submit the Assignment with in the given time. Those who not submit the assignment by the due date shall be penalized through deduction of marks 5.1.3 QUIZ: In addition to the Class tests Three Quiz examinations to be held during Semester. Average of Best Two will be considered for evaluating students who absent for Quiz will lose their marks. 5.2. Mid Term Examination – weightage – 20% Mid Term examination shall be Two Hours duration and shall be a combination of Short and Long theory Questions. 5.3. End Term examinations – Weightage – 50%

End Term examination shall be Three Hours duration and shall be a combination of Short and Long theory Questions. 6.0 GRADING : The overall marks obtained at the end of the semester comprising all the above three mentioned shall be converted to a grade by the faculty. 7.0. ATTENDANCE : Students are required to have a minimum attendance of 75% in the subject.
