The growth in innovation around wellbeing devices, biotechnology and digital health is substantial. Biotech investments are seeing continuous growing investment (in some cases, in spite of struggling valuations), and the consumer market for wearable wellbeing devices is set for massive growth over the next few years. In fact according to KPMG’s 2015 Global Innovation survey, 15% of tech leaders saw health sector innovation (biotech, healthcare IT and digital health services) as the most disruptive consumer-driven technology for the next 3-5 years.
