How effective is the combination of
your main product and ancillary texts?

2. I believe the combination of my main product and both my ancillary one and
ancillary two worked well together and all genre and layouts used help to
compliment each piece of work.

3. My ancillary one was a digipack made for the CD my music video is for. The digipack
consists of black and white images of my main artist on both the front, back and disc
of the CD with white and red bold sans serif fonts.
The pop genre is mainly for a younger target audience and although mine is aimed at
the older end of the teenage years I believed by using such a font that it would look a
lot simpler yet stand out more due to the boldness. The conventions used within my
ancillary one are very non-stereotypical of the pop genre as bright colours would be
more expected. I made the ‘U’ and the ‘R’ on my song title red whilst the rest of the
font is white which would be mentioned within the booklet contained within the CD to
explain how it would be done to represent the words ‘you’ and ‘are’ and would be
expanded upon how it is used to say to the audience ‘you are not alone’ when going
through the type of heartbreak portrayed within the video and mentioned within the
song used for my main piece.
