13. How long does the procedure take?
The procedure starts with the assessment of
the eyes and a few tests are done by the
clinic. After this, depending upon the
schedule (same day or later), the actual laser
procedure takes about 10-15 minutes.

14. How soon will my vision recover?
Generally it takes about 24 hours for the
vision to recover. However, in few patients it
takes some additional days.

15. Is the procedure painful, requires bandage
or hospitalisation?
The treatment involves flap-making of the
cornea and then the reshaping with the laser.
The entire procedure is done under topical
anesthesia and therefore, is absolutely
painless. There is no patching of the eye and
the patient is sent back home in an hour’s

One needs to take a few precautions like
wearing dark glasses while moving out of the
house, careful with water not entering the
