Incoming first-year students are asked to reflect on their transition to York University by describing a memorable image, using 3 words to capture their experience, and identifying when they felt successfully transitioned. Students are then prompted to visually represent their ideal transition experience for future students, focusing on themes of connectedness, capability, resourcefulness, culture, and purpose. Finally, students pair up to discuss what they initially wanted from university and York, how they chose their major, and how their perspectives may have changed since starting at York.
