Its 3,000T/Y lithium iron phosphate material project got approval in 2010, andis under construction at present. In 2011, it’s engaged in the construction of a 2,000T/Ylithium iron phosphate material production line in Tianjin.BYD is China’s only enterprise mastering the technology for large-scale production ofautomotive lithium iron phosphate battery pack. Its independently-developed “iron battery”has been successfully applied in BYD’s all-electric E6 and hybrid F3DM vehicles. In 2011,BYD issued 79 million shares, raising RMB 2.192 billion, mainly for the lithium battery andautomotive R & D and production base project. BYD will further increase its “iron battery”investment in the future.Shenzhen Mottcell Battery Technology Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in the production oflithium iron phosphate battery. Moving to the new plant in 2011, it has further expandedcapacity, and now can produce 150,000 Ah of lithium iron phosphate batteries per day.
