2. “I heard of a little girl who didn’t have any
shoes. She was given some shoes and
although they were a size 10, she wore
them anyway. She wears a size 11.”
I led them with cords of human
kindness,
with ties of love.
To them I was like one who lifts
a little child to the cheek,
and I bent down to feed them.
Hosea 11:4
3. “Hey Pastor Steve, would Reformation Lutheran
Church be interested in collecting donations for
about twenty families; 30 or so kids?”
Carol Butler
I will give you a new
heart and put a new
spirit in you; I will
remove from you your
heart of stone and give
you a heart of flesh.
Ezekiel 36: 26
5. Remember this: Whoever
sows sparingly will also
reap sparingly, and
whoever sows generously
will also reap generously.
2 Corinthians 9:6
6. With the help of the High School Mission
Club from Ava Victory Christian Academy
With Christmas spirit they filled baskets with much needed clothes
7. Side Note:
• With seven High School Elves in tow, we grabbed and
we gathered, now if I could stop them for texting and
blathering!
• Two long joyful hours later and four fullest of carts, we
headed for the door like tired Old Farts.
8. With labels removed, sizes checked
twice. Prepping gifts for the naughty
and nice.
Ribbons and wrapping and taping
galore, 104 gifts! Can there be more...?
9. Foot warmers, Furbys, coats and some shirts; keeping us warm,
clean clothes and no dirt!
10. Ask and You Shall Receive…
{This all began with a prayer for one pair of shoes for a little girl }
RLC Donated so much more
2 boxes of homemade wooden toys
3 boxes of gently used clothing and
personal items
Cash converted to Wal-Mart cards
totaling: $2545.80
(Wal-Mart donated $50 in a gift card)
11. Three gifts each, 34 times. They’ll recklessly
wonder what would be mine.
12. 104 gifts all wrapped with care. We still needed something
- the little girls hair! Hairclips, headbands, bobbles and
curls; while the older girls got bangles, bangles that
dangled and twirls. The boys, the boys! Received watches
that glowed and all had plenty and plenty to show.
13. The packages were placed
under the tree with great
care in hopes that the
childern would soon be
there.
14. Eating and feasting with a handful of
parents, can we hurry and finish its
time for our presents?
17. All the joy was overwhelming for all of us. Especially
for one little girl whom gathered some gifts and ran
into back room where she clinged to a wall, saying
something quite somber to which was to low to hear,
crying and sobbing and I believe, thanking us all.
And as quickly as she broke away she came back to her
gifts. This one child was worth all of our effort. How
blessed we are to have affected so many.
Blessings and a Merry Christmas to all at Reformation
Lutheran Church, Westminster, California.
We Love you All!
PS: Size 11 – the shoe fit perfectly.
