This presentation was given by Jacob Gordon, Cooper's Ferry Development Association, at the 2010 APA-NJ Planning Conference on November 5, 2010. Mr. Gordon's presentation was given as part of the conference session titled "Dipping Your Bicycle Wheel into the Melting Pot" and uses his work in Camden through the Cooper's Ferry Development Association (CFDA) as an example of the need for better bicycle and pedestrian facilities and planning projects in urban areas. The presentation focused on how the Camden GreenWay project moved from Camden having a greenway vision to the steps they took in making it a reality through action and implementation citing their recent success with TIGER Grant funding. The session was one of a series of sessions put together by the APA-NJ's Ethnic and Cultural Diversity Committee (ECDC) in an effort to highlight the need for more diversity in the field of Planning.
