1. Film Synopsis 3: Fixation<br />Sean Carter is principal at Harrington Academy a happily married man of ten years to his beautiful wife Sharday. When Mr. Carter’s current PA retires he advertises for a new PA to which he receives substantial interest. Three women are shortlisted and invited for an interview; Monica, Tina and Beverly. Impressed by Monica’s outstanding resume she was the best candidate for the job. At the interview it is evident that Monica takes an instant liking to Sean. Over the next few days Monica begins familiarises herself with the surroundings and Sean’s schedule taking the opportunity to pry into his belongings whilst he is out for lunch, where she comes across a photo of him and his wife which she slips into her bag. Later on she cuts and pastes the photo into her journal followed by an account of how she intends to seduce the principal. Over the next couple of weeks she settles in well and Sean is pleased with her work and efficient manner. In a bid to get close to him Monica flattens her tyre hoping that Sean will offer her to take her home being the gentleman which he is he kindly does. During the journey home Monica asks a few personal questions however, he responds indirectly. When Monica realises that Sean is proving hard work she begins making him cups of tea, tending to his every need and wearing provocative clothing. One evening when the pair are working late Monica leans over him, caught in moment Sean grabs her waist and two share a kiss. Realising what he has just done he pulls away instantly apologising profusely, however, Monica is pleased as this is her intended plan. Over the next couple of weeks Monica continues to dress provocatively though he keeps he his head down and begins to stay out of the office more. Monica’s behaviour starts to change drastically; she begins buying him lunch to keep him in the office, making sexual advances and other acts of affection. Sean tries to pacify her explaining that he is flattered by her interest but tells her to stop as he is happily married. It appears that Monica has got the message until one night when he drawing the curtains he spots what he believes is her car parked outside his house. After this Sean decides to tell his wife all that has been happening as not to jeopardise his marriage. As you can imagine Sharday is fuming by this therefore, decides to pay Monica a visit one afternoon when she finishes her shift early, warning her that if she continues to harass her husband she will report her to the tribunal. However, Monica gives as good as she gets stating that she doesn’t deserve him and that Sean doesn’t love her anymore. Refusing to take heed the couple do take action and Monica loses her job.<br /> Several months have passed without any sighting of Monica, unbeknown to the couple that she has been watching their house and now knows their comings and goings. Whilst Sharday is away on business Monica goes to the house, breaks entry and waits for Sean to return from work. When he arrives home he hears water running from upstairs thinking his wife has returned home early he calls out but there is no response. Therefore, he goes into the bathroom where he finds Monica relaxing in the bath using his wife’s cosmetics. Horrified by her presents he demands her to get dressed and leave immediately, returning downstairs. Ten minutes pass he returns back upstairs to now find her sprawled across their bed wearing his wife dressing gown. At this point he loses his temper, grabbing her forcefully. She then tells him how much she loves him and that she knows he loves her to, recalling the kiss. He responds by telling her it meant nothing, he will never love her as he loves his wife. This enrages her so she reaches for the nearest ornament, smashes it over his head and begins to wrestle him. Through the commotion the neighbours had telephoned the police who on arrival break entry. Monica is then arrested and taken to the police station for further questioning, where she is later sectioned under the mental health act. After this it comes to light that she has committed similar acts in the past with the use of different names. On Sharday’s return Sean enlightens her on the situation and assures her that she is in a safe place and they will no longer be harassed furthermore.<br />
