2. On Monday 9/2/2015 the 4th class of primary
school DDMN Naval Base in Crete in
Greece and the teacher, Stavroula Lada,
watched videos offered by the greek
internet channel “saferinternet.org”. They
then discussed about the dangers on the
reckless use of internet and did some
activities, like drawing, games etc.
3. After that, they invited 3 other classes of
the school and watched together some
videos. In the end, all students of all 3
classes discussed on internet safety
matters and decided to talk to their
parents as well. The director of the
school watched and participated in the
3 classes discussion.
4. The next day, on Tuesday 10/2/2015
a skype videoconference was
held among 17 students of the
fourth grade of primary school
DDMN Naval Base in Crete in
Greece and 27 students of the
third grade of elementary school
Stavrakiou.
5. Students watched the video entitled "The magic
behind the magic!" Then they took action
themselves. They chatted on matters concerning
the use and safety in the Internet. They emphasized
the problems caused by the indiscriminate use of
the computer and the effects of inherent use. They
talked about how important is the use of codes and
their frequent change and what should be the
actions in case they receive a threatening message.
6. Finally, the communication between the two schools
closed by creating a beautiful poem entitled
"Dangers Of Internet". The poem was "written"
interactively and in collaboration with the web tool
“titanpad” in real time! One school began the verse
and the other was completing it. So the students of
both schools created four quatrains which then
were turned into a song, which they sang together.
7. Dangers Of Internet
(poem in greek)
In the game when you enter
be careful not to get lost
you will find many dangers
but do not be afraid!
If you get virus
Do not panic
consult your parents
not be ashamed, do not be
afraid!
If you are in front of
an unknown person
hang up in the moment
to be safe!
Do not give him the details
and no photo
because you’ll get into
trouble
and you won’t be safe.
8. The experience was unique not only
for the students but also for the
teachers who participated and who
are already partners in an
educational e-Twinning program.
