However, while a general MBA has been around for a long time, institutes
have now started offering specialised programmes to cater to both student
and market demand in order to create competent, job-ready professionals.
Keeping this in mind, The Times of India group's TimesPro has launched
distributed MBA programmes in banking and financial services, finance and
accounting, and business analytics. The twoyear, full-time programmes focus
on fundamentals of business and aim to sharpen students' analytical
aptitude and hone their leadership and entrepreneurial abilities.
The programmes lay greater emphasis on practical knowledge over
theoretical knowledge (65:35 ratio) and combine classroom training with on-
the-job experience. The programmes are designed in such a way that the
study course is completed in the first year itself.

experience through campus placements and the submission of their
assignments.
The programmes syllabi include course material from the Harvard Business
School and offer certifications built into the programme includ ing one from
National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), National Stock Exchange of
India Limited's Certification in Financial Markets (NCFM) and a Diploma in
Banking and Finance (DBF).
The courses offered include an MBA in banking, banking and finance (B&FS),
Masters of management studies in banking and financial services (MMS in
B&FS), MBA in business analytics (BA), and Masters of management studies
in finance and accounts (MMS F&A). The MBA (B&FS) courses are offered in
collaboration with KL University, Jagan Nath University and Sharda
University.

The MMS (B&FS) courses are offered in collaboration with Jain University
and SRM University.
These courses prepare students to skilled professionals for the banking and
finance sectors.
The course is designed to give a blended learning experience to the students
through both classroom expositions and case focused approach of learning.
On the completion of their first year, students get an opportunity to work
with one of the institute's banking partner.
Conducted in partnership with the KL University, the MBA (BA) course opens
up avenues in ITITes companies and analytics units of corporates for
students. The course curriculum focuses on the understanding of analytical
concept tools and techniques to solve business problems and prepares
students to become skilled data scientists.

The MMS (F&A) programme, which is offered in collaboration with Jain
University, prepares students for careers in accounting.On the
completion of the first year, students get placement opportunities in
various financial KPOs across the country.
