Enter a RELIABLE email address See me if you need an email address 4. Check this box 5. Check the box for “Just a username”
4. Check your email. You will receive an email from Wordpress.com to activate your account. Click on the provided link. You will be taken to this page. Choose the option to Login.
5. Send your username to Nicole via email at mcclure.nicole@gmail.com You will be added to the blog as a contributor. Once you receive confirmation from Nicole, you may login to the course site to create your profile. Note: If you are simply reading the blog or checking the site for announcements, you will NOT to need to log in – only if you are adding to the site.
6. Creating your Wordpress Profile Login to your Wordpress account. You will be taken to your Dashboard. Select the Profile option on the left hand side.
7. Scroll down to the Name and Contact info. Complete the form as directed. Choose a nickname . This is the name that will appear on your comments and posts. Fill in any other info that you would like. Scroll down and select “Update Profile” You may also upload a profile photo of you in the Gravatar option.
8. Adding your introduction Write a two-three paragraph introduction about yourself. Tell us why you are taking the class, if you have any hobbies, what you do for a living, etc. You are not required to reveal any personal information – just tell us a few interesting things about yourself. Check out Nicole’s introduction for an example.
9. Because of authorization issues, you will not be able to post your introduction directly to the blog. Instead, email your introduction to Nicole at mcclure.nicole@gmail.com. You can either include this in the body of the email or attach a separate word document. Also, include one or two photos of yourself that you would like to include with your post. This should all be emailed to me by Tuesday, February 2 at 12 pm
