A media student named Ninthuja Saseetharan wrote a letter requesting permission to use up to 15 seconds of footage from the movie "The Evil Dead" in an opening sequence for their AS level media studies project. The sequence will be submitted to the exam board OCR for academic purposes. They provided a copyright clearance form for the producer to sign granting permission to use the clip.

As part of our AS level Media Studies project, we were required to produce an opening sequence of a thriller film. <br />My group and I have made up a storyline which required the character watching a fragment of a horror film in the living room on a TV set in one of our scenes; whereby we have used near to a maximum of 15 seconds of a part in the movie 'The Evil Dead'. <br />This is used purely for academic purposes, where our sequence will be sent off to the exam board: OCR, for examination.<br /> I was hoping if you could grant us permission to use this part of the movie, we would sincerely appreciate it.
