Editor's Notes
Facilitator:Feel free to title the presentation as appropriate.
Facilitator: Say: “Moby conducted a survey of 500 REALTORS in the summer of 2009, here are some of those results.”Discussion point: “Do you agree with these findings? What other scenarios make you feel unsafe?”
Facilitator:Discussion point: “Do you agree with these findings? What other tools or processes do you follow to protect yourself?”
Facilitator: Say: “If you have a smartphone, here’s a product that turns your phone into an advanced personal safety device.”
Facilitator: Ask: “Who has a smartphone?”Conduct ‘show of hands’ poll of which type of smartphone everyone uses.Discussion point: “Who is upgrading or changing their phone this year and why?”Generate discussion as to why some phones work better for these REALTORS than other phones.
Facilitator: Discussion point: “Do you agree with the results?”Likely get comments that Android phones are gaining market share.
Facilitator: Ask “What safety procedures can your smartphone perform?” Discussion points:Who uses their phone’s camera to take a picture of new clients, their cars, or their ID?You can do this, with person’s permission, and email it to a friend or the office so they know who you are meeting, and that photo could be shared with authorities in case of emergency.
Facilitator: Discussion point: “What about using the mapping software on your phone?”Always make sure you know where you are going and let someone know where you will be and when you expect to return.
Facilitator: Discussion points: “Not every emergency situation requires a call to 911.”But informing people that care is a top priority for you.In critical emergencies, sometimes 911 is not available or overwhelmed in a particular area.Make sure you have the local fire, police, and ambulance phone numbers stored in your phone.Their non-emergency numbers are useful, too, to report suspicious circumstances or behavior.
Facilitator: Say: “Moby has been specifically designed for REALTORS.You don’t need a new phone or special GPS device. You use the tools that you already have.”
Facilitator:REQUEST ASSISTANCEYou choose a button on your phone for the single button alert. Can subtly send alert without anyone suspecting. You could even request assistance while the phone is in your pocket or purse.CHECK-INYou determine how often Moby asks “Are you OK?”If select “Yes”, nothing happens. If select “No” or fail to respond, the alert goes out and help is on its way.TRACKINGA great tool for loved ones to know where you are so they can help with directions, timing of arrival, and just sharing peace of mind.
Facilitator: Say: “In addition to your key contacts, your alerts can be monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by a national security company.”They have software provided by Moby that instantly sends the alerts to their monitoring computers. They can see your safety status, your location, and have access to the national PSAP database. That database gives the security personnel access to call the direct phone numbers for the local fire, police, and ambulance services closest to your emergency. The staff can speak directly to police, fire, and ambulance personnel in their vehicles to provide details on your location, the direction headed, your name, and other information you’ve provided in your profile.Professional monitoring ensures Moby is always available, regardless if your key contacts are not.
Facilitator:Say: “In contrast to other location sharing social networking software, Moby focuses on making your location secure and controlled by you.”
Facilitator:Say: “ This pricing is unofficial because Moby is not due to launch until Sept 13th. However, users can expect this price range. See the website for final pricing.”
