“Providing a completely free web-based solution to people who spend a fortune in long distance calls is
just another way we are increasing the value of what we offer to our customers,” said Ruslan Zalata,
founder of GTalk2VoIP. “Our partnership with Talkster has made this possible and we will continue to
work towards providing free, useful and easy to use solutions to our valued users through the
development of solutions such as FreeRinger.”
FreeRinger is a web-based, Flash® application, therefore no software download or installation is required
as long as the web browser can view content built in the commonly used Adobe Flash. For those users
without Adobe Flash, a simple download that works with all Internet browsers on PC, Mac and Linux
computers will immediately enable FreeRinger to work.
FreeRinger is also available as a widget that so bloggers and web designers can offer the FreeRinger long
distance and international calling service to their sites’ readers and customers. A special hyperlink makes
placing calls from FreeRinger as simple as a click from a webpage.
“FreeRinger is a perfect example of how Talkster’s calling platform can be easily integrated to provide free
voice communications to online communities and instant messaging services,” said Talkster CTO, Mark
2. Gelman. “This ‘plug and call’ PC-to-phone service is the first of its kind, allowing for free dialing without
the need for additional downloads, right from your web browser.”
How to use FreeRinger from your computer:
Sign up for the service by clicking on “Register,” then fill-in the form providing your real e-mail address,
which will be used later as your login name. Next, follow the steps below to place a call.
1. Sign in at www.freeringer.biz.
2. Enter your friend's phone number in international format: country code followed by area code
followed by local number. Examples: 16505556789 is for USA/California, or 442012345678 is
for UK/London.
3. Press Call button. If this phone number is not yet listed on your roster, a subscription process
will be initiated and a new contact will be created.
4. A new Talkster number will be assigned for your friend to reach you back on the Web. A
phone call will be placed to your friend's phone number and you will hear a voice prompt
informing you of your call progress.
5. Once connected, you will have 10 seconds to tell your friend to call you right back on their
Talkster number for you, while you stay on hold and wait for them to dial in. Your friend will
learn their Talkster number from: a) an SMS message sent during the subscription process, b)
the CallerID number displayed to them when you called, c) you can tell them their Talkster
number, which appears to you during the registration process. Note that this Talkster number
is a permanent phone number that your friend can use anytime they want to speak with you
using Talkster.
6. After your friend calls you back, the system will connected you both again and you may talk as
long as you like.
7. Press Hang-up button at any time to terminate your call.
8. Click on a contact’s name and press “Call” to initiate another call to same number.
You can also receive calls from regular phone numbers right to your web browser when your friends dial
their Talkster number for you. You don't not have to do anything else, just accept the incoming call and
talk to your friends as long as you want.
