If ideas and concepts such as collaboration, creation (not just consumption), and
coding are important for all students, so is knowing how to safely interact with
technology, even when there isn’t a technical safety net. Trust, communication, and
openness go a long way to ensure a child responds appropriately when faced with the
darker side of technology. Often, the safest you can be is when you know you can turn
to a more experienced person (in this case a parent) and ask for help, guidance, and
advice...

If ideas and concepts such as collaboration, creation (not just consumption), and coding are important for all students, so is knowing how to safely interact with technology, even when there isn’t a technical safety net. Trust, communication, and openness go a long way to ensure a child responds appropriately when faced with the darker side of technology. Often, the safest you can be is when you know you can turn to a more experienced person (in this case a parent) and ask for help, guidance, and advice... a @mr_casal production of a @HeathcoteTech presentation
