o The site had the advantage of dual views, mangroves on one side and the
ocean on the other. The materials selected were inspired by the boats
and fishermen‟s villages in the vicinity. The colours were inspired by the
sand and seashells. The mood is serene and contemplative.

o Located in the old city area in the „Writers Chambers‟ building; it was an
opportunity to recreate the past, memories of coffee houses and reading
rooms. The project can be described as an adaptive reuse project

o The interior is distinct from an instinctively western
response to interiors for financial institutes. Drawing
references from the Asian south eastern culture, Design
Options created a rich palette of fabrics, colours and
textures that communicated not only the culture but values
of generosity, warmth and hospitality.
