1. Short Film Questionnaire
Feedback
Here I have created a short questionnaire, of
which I have handed out to 16 members of
our target audience, males and females
ranging from 16 years of age to 21.

This shows, that out of
all the people that we
showed our
questionnaire, only one
person said they didn't
enjoy it and that was a
female. This could show
that our film is slightly
more appeal towards a
male audience. This
could be because of the
use of gangs and also
the male protagonist.
Using as male
protagonist could mean
that males are able to
connect, relate and
sympathise with them
more than females can.
5. What genre would you class the film as?

Romance
This shows that the
majority of people
correctly identified
the genre of our film
as a drama. The other
genres that it was
identified as are
Romance and Crime.
Our film does contain
elements of other
theses genres are
therefore could be
classed as a hybrid.
Romance is involved
Crime
Drama
Horror
in our film because of
the growing

relationship between
Josh and Amy, the montage of these two characters makes their
relationship more of a focus point of the film. Crime is used within
our film as Josh is caught with a knife at school and gets in trouble
with a policeman. Also the use of a gang makes our film contain
conventions of a crime genre. This is because gangs are normally
associated with getting into trouble with the law and rebellion.

In this question we asked
our target audience how
they would rate our
film, the majority of them
rated it as very good or
Males
excellent. However, two
Females males rated it as average
and one female rated it as
improvable. However, no
one rated it as poor. This
shows that we would have
some elements of the film
to work on if we could
make another draft. Elements that we could work on in order to make the
film better are, more close ups of Josh’s bedroom to give the audience a
better understanding of the change in his personality before he met the
gang and after. We would also use a different actress as Josh’s mum as
she looked too young and not everyone understood their relationship. We
would also film a few more shots for each of the montages to show a
stronger relationship between Josh and the gang and Josh and Amy.

In this question we asked
the audience on their
thoughts on the typography.
For this question we got
quite mixed answers with
nearly equal amounts of
people answering
Males
excellent, very good average
Females and improvable. The font we
used it just a standard font
form Adobe Premier Pro. In
order to improve our font, I
would import the font that I
used on my poster from
Photoshop. This font was
more bold and had lines
going through it. Using the
same font throughout my
film and poster would make
all my tasks tie in with each
other and make it more of a
brand.
