This document provides an introduction to science safety and making observations in a lab. It lists 12 safety rules including listening carefully, reporting allergies and accidents, wearing safety goggles, not tasting or touching experiments, washing hands, and cleaning up. It also instructs students to carefully examine rocks, use descriptive words to describe each one, and try to identify rocks based on their partner's description.
