Mark Allen Peterson is currently Chair of the Department of Anthropology at Miami University, where he holds a joint appointment in Anthropology and International Studies. A former political journalist, he has also taught courses at Brown University, George Mason University, Goucher College, Gettysburg College, The University of Hamburg and the American University in Cairo.
At Miami, he teaches Intercultural Relations, Peoples of the World, and a senior capstone on current issues in the Middle East, He has also taught Introduction to International Studies, courses on the Middle East, global diasporas, world media and international intellectual property issues.
