1. Tridium Company Profile
Overview
Tridium, a global software and services company, develops and markets a universal software framework targeted
at solving the challenges associated with managing smart devices. Tridium’s core technology, the patented
Niagara Framework ® (or “Niagara”), a Java-based framework, provides a software infrastructure to integrate
diverse systems and devices - regardless of manufacturer or communication protocol - into a unified platform
that can be easily managed in real time over the Internet using a standard web browser. Niagara is being
successfully applied in telecommunications, M2M, enterprise security, energy-services, building-automation,
and industrial-automation markets today.

Tridium was established in 1996, in Richmond, Virginia and acquired in 2005 by Honeywell International.
Telecommunications Applications
Today’s telecommunications providers are managing a complex array of mission-critical systems that require
uncompromised performance and availability. Remote monitoring of these systems in both manned and
unmanned facilities is crucial to maximizing uptime.
Since 2005 Tridium telecommunications power and infrastructure solutions have been deployed with
major service providers throughout the America’s, EMEA and Asia Pacific on over 225 routes and 1800
telecommunications facilities. Our success against established competitors who use a traditional, reactive
approach has been driven by the value of real time data in crisis avoidance and crisis management and the
ability to leverage that data to drive operational efficiencies in an increasingly competitive and customer
demanding telecommunications industry.
At the heart of Tridium’s solution is the EMS-SC-PJ-545-AX, an enhanced NEBS-compliant web-based
management system that monitors temperature, humidity, power, fuel systems, digital contact panels, and all
HVAC systems. Installed in central offices, data centers, Regen Huts,
mechanical rooms, transport sites, remote facilities, and other harsh
environments, the EMS-SC-PJ-545-AX is ideal for telecom providers
who require a rugged and compact remote monitoring controller..
Users can seamlessly integrate LonWorks®, BACnet ®, Modbus®, SNMP
and other standard protocols with legacy systems to provide a unified
real-time controls network that can be controlled and managed from
the enterprise. A browser-based graphical user interface allows operators to view and manipulate underlying
systems without the need for dedicated workstations or client software.
