    Fimo Ppp - Presentation Transcript

      • Working
      • with Fimo/Sculpey
      • Fimo (also known as Sculpey) is a fantastic product to use when creating your own beads or pendants.
      • It feels like plasticine to use and comes in a wide variety of colours.
      • Once the designs are made they need to be baked on a low heat for about 15 minutes.
      • Once cooled, the beads or pendants become rock hard.
    1. Designs are only limited by the imagination!
      • Fimo also looks very effective when combined with other materials such as shells and glass beads.
      • To add shine to the creations they need to be glazed and left to dry.
      • Combining large and small beads in complimentary colours adds interest.
      • Consideration needs to be given to how big the holes need to be and the type of strand that will be used – leather, wire, thread etc.
      • Holes can be made prior to baking while soft, or afterwards by using an electric drill with an appropriate sized drill bit.
      • The length needs to be measured for it’s purpose and the attachments need to be neat and easy to use.
