Let me give you a little background on how THE SOCIAL LEADERSHIP ACADEMY came about.
In April of 2003 I experienced a personal crisis.
At the age of 42 I ended up in Northwestern hospital thinking I was having a heart attack.
Life was not working the way I had DREAMED.
I had a job that owned me, I had a boss I did not see eye to eye with, I had an employee who felt I had wronged him who decided to sue me and my company, and I saw NO WAY OUT of the LIFE I WAS CLINGING TO.
My DEEP DESIRE was to lead a SATISFIYING and SIGNIFICANT life, having a positive influence on others and improving the world in some way, but this DESIRE HAD BEEN BURIED under the wait of A PLAN THE WORLD SOLD ME ON – go to school, get good grades, get a job, be excellent at your job, live, bank and retire.
There was a huge chasm between where I was and where I wanted to be .
While in the hospital my Daughter Alyssa brought me my bible to read.
I stumbled upon Romans 12:1
“ DO NOT CONFORM ANY LONG RO THE PATTERN OF THIS WORLD, BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND. THEN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO TEST AND APPROVE WHAT GOD’S WILL IS – HIS GOOD, PLEASING AND PERFECT WILL.
This was the fuel for embarking on my journey to align my DESIRES with REALITY.
It began with recognition that I would need to be “transformed (changed) by the (entire) renewal of my mind (by its new ideals and its new attitude) if I were to actualize the success I had envisioned for my life.

I NEEDED A BREAKTHROUGH . . . .
And to bring it about I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO BREAK WITH MY CURRENT WAYS . . .
And BE OPEN TO BEING TESTED!
In 2004 I BURNED MY ORIGINAL PLAN FOR SUCCESS.
AND replaced it with A NEW GUIDE . . . AND A NEW COMPASS . . .
that lead to A NEW BELIEF SYSTEM . . . A NEW OPERATING SYSTEM . . . AND A COACH!
To get to BREAKTHROUGH was a PROCESS.
From My Journey came the INSPIRATION for THE SOCIAL LEADERSHIP ACADEMY.
That being to create and ENVIRONMENT helping others successfully cross the chasm between a life of SATISFACTION AND SIGNIFICANCE.
The Method has been built on 3 PILLARS.

ANALOGY
The pinnacle of success for many mountain climbers is climbing Mount Everest.
Critical for a successful climb are SHIRPAS.
Sherpa’s are highly regarded as elite mountaineers and experts in their terrain.
Guides/Sherpa’s/Coaches….let you know what direction you’re heading in that HELP YOU MAKE ADJUSTMENTS along the way.
INTRODUCE & EDIFY: Renita, Adam and Kevin
#3 A TEAM OF CONNECTED AND LIKE HEARTED CLIMBERS
Also critical for a successful climb is a TEAM.
Your Team will be created over time as we get to know who your are.
It will be Put together from your group of fellow’s aligned around Passion and Purpose.
People you can be tethered to so you don’t TUMBLE DOWN THE MOUNTAIN.
CRITICAL for a successful climb will be engagement with the COMMUNITY.
These 3 PILLARS will provide the FUEL you need to MAKE A SUSTAINABLE IMPACT IN THE WORLD.
All have a similar motive that being THE DESIRE for a satisfying and successful life that positively influences others and improves the world in some way.

What is your Purpose? - What you’ve been uniquely created to do here on earth - The Reason Behind Your Desire – ie. To equip, connect and inspire the next generation to become servant leaders, who build enterprises that solve social problems.
