Phelps was born in Baltimore in 1985, began swimming at the age of seven to
control his hyperactivity, as he had been diagnosed with attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder.At the age of ten he started training at the North Baltimore
Acuatic Club.The American appeared at his first Olympic Games in Sydney
2000,Phelps was part of the American delegation when he was 15, Which made him
the youngest swimmer to make the American swim team.This American sportsman
has 23 Olympic gold medals, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals, being so far the
sportsman who has won the most gold medals in the history of the Olympic Games
