heLLo
hello, my name is Cinthya Lopez. I’m from guatemala and I have been studying at John
Brown University for two years which have gone by very fast. my major is graphic design. I
enjoy designing and doing illustrations, I also like photography. Sometimes it is difficult for
me to stick with something so I try to explore new fields whenever I can and if you can do
all things by yourself I think that is good and it improves your design because no one really
knows what’s on your mind.
a lot of people in guatemala know me by Poly and I use that name for everything, even
for my logo. as I said before, no one really knows what’s on your mind because everyone has
different ideas, I think that is why I like a lot design because although clients are sometimes
very specific about what they want but there always has to be a little part of you in every
design you do or else I don’t think it would be interesting. as one of my proffesors said: “If
the piece doesn’t mean anything to you, then even if it’s cute it won’t be interesting enough”.
I strongly agree with him because art is about expressing and communicating.
overall I enjoy music, gum, and toys, maybe my background makes sense now. thank
you for taking the time to read this and I hope you have enjoyed my portfolio.
