Lanyon to launch GDS Seamless Functionality Review
1. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lanyon to launch GDS Seamless Functionality Review™ as part of its’ GDS Management &
Support Services
Expert GDS consultation service provides hospitality suppliers with functionality testing to
maximize delivered content
Dallas – 15th July 2010 – Following the successful review and testing of the Genares seamless
connectivity displays, Lanyon, Inc. (www.lanyon.com), today announced the public availability of GDS
Seamless Functionality Review, a content delivery consultation service for hospitality suppliers.
GDS Seamless Functionality Review leverages Lanyon’s extensive GDS and content management
experience to create a unique six-point evaluation program. Review activities for each message
includes: identifying the maximum functionality in each GDS, defining the best practices for each
functionality point, creating clear test cases, identifying functionality gaps in the supplier’s responses,
recommending processes and enhancements to close the gaps, and open any issues with the GDS’s,
switch company, or CRS.
“Genares was able to extend the functionality of our Area Availability response messaging by over
20%. In most cases, travel agents are now receiving the maximum amount of information possible
which ultimately translates into more reservations. With Lanyon’s expert GDS services, we are better
positioned to serve a very important distribution segment”, says Robert Bayless, Chief Technology
Officer at Genares Worldwide Reservation Services (www.genares.com). “We expect our continued
consultation with Lanyon will enable us to maximize our GDS distribution”, added Bayless.
“We are delighted to bring this new solution to market following the extremely successful
implementation earlier this year with Genares,” said Roland Tanner, Lanyon’s Chief Operating Officer.
“The development of this solution has been in direct response to the needs expressed by our hospitality
clients. Moreover, it is especially rewarding to receive the enthusiastic response from hospitality
suppliers who are eager to maximize their responses to GDS users.”
